This photograph is an experiment with my Linhoff camera. I met this men who was travelling through Europe with his six tigers. This picture was made somewhere in the Netherlands. In the background a little dog was barking. This picture was made in 1997 and has never been shown before.

Dick Duyves – born in 1970 in Zaandam, the Netherlands. Graduated from Academy of Fine Arts (Arnhem), Academy of Arts Breda and St. Joost Academy. My interest in photography started after seeing images of Ed van der Elsken, William Eggleston and Garry Winogrand. I work as a photographer since 1995 in Amsterdam and recently in Haarlem. What I like about photography is the opportunity to give space new meanings.
