Elise Boularan

Zdjęcie pochodzi z nowego cyklu Camille. Przedstawia Camille na tle krajobrazu.  Camille jest moją przyjaciółką. Często razem pracujemy – jest graficzką i modelką. Zdjęcie zrobiłam w 2016 roku, w moim domu, na południu Francji (w Aude). Uwielbiam krajobrazy, które ciągle odkrywam w mojej dzielnicy. Camille dołączyła do mnie w szczególnym momencie mojego życia – zaczęłyśmy razem pracować nad nowymi projektami. To zdjęcie oddaje stan mojego umysłu w tamtym czasie.

Elise Boularan – urodzona w 1984 roku, w Narbonne, we Francji. Dorastała w południowej Francji. Studia magisterskie na kiernku Creation and Artistic Research zrobiła na uniwersytecie w Tuluzie. Studiowała również fotografię w Toulouse School of Photography. Po studiach przeprowadziła się do Paryża. Obecnie przemieszcza się między Carcassonne, Tuluzą i Narbonne i pracuje jako fotografka.

Tworzy prace fotograficzne zwrócone w stronę historii, realizując obrazy naładowane elipsami i ciszą.

Publikuje i wystawia w Europie i Stanach Zjednoczonych. Ostatnio – zrobiła indywidualną wystawę w Nowym Jorku w 2015 roku. Wystawiała swoje prace w Madrycie, Danii, Londynie, Australii. Miała także wystawy w Instytucie Francuskim na Ukrainie, The Museum of New Art (Mona), The Russell Industrial Center (Mona Detroit) w Detroit, The Instituto Cultural de México, San Antonio, Texas Hill Country, USA.

Elise pracuje dla francuskiej i międzynarodowej prasy. Współpracuje z artystami muzykami – tworzy wizualizacje dla piosenek. Łączy świat wizualny z poetyką piosenek. Pracuje dla Hans Lucas studio w Paryżu.

ENG:

This picture is from a new serie Camille. It’s a landscape picture with Camille. Camille is a friend, we work together sometimes. She’s a graphic designer and a model. The picture was taken in 2016, in the south of France (Aude), at my home. I’m really in love with all the landscapes that we can discover in my countryside. Camille joined me in a particular time of my life and we start working on new stuff. This picture is like an expression of my state of mind at a given moment.

Elise Boularan – born 1984, Narbonne, France. grew up in the South of France and has a Master’s degree in Creation and Artistic Research from the University of Toulouse. She also studied photography at the Toulouse School of Photography. After finishing her academic research and studies, she moved to Paris. She currently lives between Carcassonne, Toulouse and Narbonne, pursuing a career as a photographic artist.

She develops a photographic work turned to the story, realizing images loaded with ellipses and silences. This work does not shy away from the world, but intends to build an interpretation, where something deaf, undefinable is very present. Her preoccupations concern the human reality of our time, trying to reveal what can be secret at the individual’s.

She has been published extensively and has exhibited in Europe and the USA, notably a solo show in New York in 2015. She has exhibited in Madrid, Denmark, and London, Australia as well as the French Institute of Ukraine, The Museum of New Art (Mona) and The Russell Industrial Center (Mona Detroit) in Detroit; the Instituto Cultural de México, San Antonio, Texas Hill Country, USA. Her work is in several private collections.

Elise Boularan works also for international & national press and collaborates with musicians and other artists, making the universe of songs match perfectly with her poetical vision. She’s part of the creation studio Hans Lucas from Paris.
