To zdjęcie zrobiłam podczas dość zwykłej sesji fotograficznej w niedawno otwartej restauracji.

W Kansas mieszkałam i tam obroniłam pracę licencjacką z politologii na University of Kansas.

Moje zdjęcia były uwzględnione m.in. w publikacjach dla  w Google, CBS.com, The Associated Press, The Atlantic, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The American Red Cross, and Ebony/Jet Publications.

This photo was taken while on a fairly mundane feature shoot at a new restaurant. The chef owner insisted that he and the staff all worked together as one team, and so they never showed their faces for photographs. Another photo was better suited to the publication, but I always liked that this one was kind of weird, and had a little wonder to it.

Kate Flock – I’ve spent many years as a news photographer in Boston, but my documentary photography, telling the stories of those who are overlooked and under-served, is the most important to me. Documenting a school for children with brain injuries in the US, and both my NGO work and personal projects in Haiti, have been especially meaningful.

My photography has been featured in publications for Google, CBS.com, The Associated Press, The Atlantic, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The American Red Cross, and Ebony/Jet Publications. I grew up in Michigan and also lived in Kansas, where I earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas.
