Zrobiłam to zdjęcie latem, 2015 roku, na Sylt – wyspie położonej w północnych Niemczech. Pojechałam tam aby odwiedzić koleżankę i miałam ze sobą mały, analogowy aparat. Pamiętam, że byłam zafascynowana nostalgiczną atmosferą wyspy i oczarowana tym, że ludzie i krajobrazy doskonale się razem komponują. Nic nie mogło zakłócić letniej atmosfery ani radości, która była kwintesencją tego miejsca. Zdecydowałam wtedy, że zrobię projekt, ale to zdjęcie nie pasowało mi do niego wizualnie. Fotografia doskonale oddaje sposób, w jaki zapamiętałam tę wyspę i ten zaklęty w czasie moment.
Laure d’Utry – (ur. 1991) francuska fotografka, mieszkająca w Berlinie. Jej twórczość skupia się głównie na fotografii dokumentalnej i portrecie. W 2015 roku założyła The Milk Collective razem z czterema innymi fotografkami pochodzącymi z różnych stron świata. Lubi odkrywać piękno i niezwykłość w codzienności i w swoich podróżach. Produkuje cykle fotograficzne i eksperymentuje artystycznie. Została ogłoszona przez konkurs Photo Boite, jedną z 30 najlepszych kobiet-fotografek, które należy obserwować przez w 2017 roku.
This image was taken during the summer of 2015 in Sylt, an island in northern Germany. I was traveling to visit a friend and was carrying my small analog camera. I remember being fascinated by the nostalgic atmosphere of the island and amused by the way in which people and landscapes seemed perfectly joined together. Nothing could disturb the summertime atmosphere or shake the quintessential happiness of this place. I decided to make a photo series but this particular image did not fit with the others visually, so I left it on its own. This photo stands alone and fully reflects the way I feel towards this island and this moment in time.
Laure d’Utruy – (b. 1991) is a French photographer based in Berlin. Her work focuses on documentary photography and portraiture. In 2015, she founded The Milk Collective with four other female photographers based around the world. As a photographer, she also likes to explore and find the beauty and the uncanny in the daily life or while exploring countries. As a result, she produces film photography series, experimenting with a more artistic side of her work. In past January, she has been nominated as one of the 30 female photographers to follow in 2017 by Photo Boite competition.
