I took this photo one evening at the marketplace in my city. By this time of the day exhausted people are going home. While looking around, I saw a man laid down, sleeping, while a dog was licking his face. There was a woman next to the dog. When I saw all this, I came closer and took several shots. Hence the woman, seeing me photographing a man, started yelling and swearing. She screamed at me “Why are you taking photos?!” and started running towards me. I said nothing. I went around the marketplace. She kept chasing me ferociously angry, with berating words that were said towards me. This continued for a while until I went far enough and her voice was not hearable anymore.

Luka Khabelashvili (born 1999) – photographer from Georgia, Gori. He’s been taking photos from early childhood. This all started on one summer holiday, when his family and him spent in Turkey. Luka asked his mother to get him a camera in order to reflect everything on photos. Because of extremely hot days Luka had a lot of time to spend home until it was good enough temperature to go outside and chill on the beach. So, during this period he started taking lots of shots indoors and outdoors. After this occasion, he got obsessed with photography. Nowadays, he shots everything that he finds interesting and fascinating to see and he thinks he doesn’t have any specific style or genre. His photos mostly consist of portraits, landscapes as well as documentary events.

Zrobiłem to zdjęcie pewnego wieczoru na targu w moim mieście. O tej porze dnia wyczerpani ludzie wracają do domu. Rozglądając się, zobaczyłem śpiącego mężczyznę i psa, który lizał mu twarz. Obok psa stała kobieta. Podszedłem bliżej i zrobiłem kilka ujęć. Kobieta, widząc jak fotografuję mężczyznę, zaczęła krzyczeć i przeklinać. Krzyczała: “Dlaczego robisz zdjęcia ?!” i zaczęła biec w moim kierunku. Nic nie powiedziałem. Dalej chodziłem po targu. Ścigała mnie swoim wściekłym głosem. Trwało to przez jakiś czas, aż odszedłem wystarczająco daleko i przestałem słyszeć jej głos.

Luka Khabelashvili (ur. 1999) – pochodzi z Gruzji, Gori. Robi zdjęcia od wczesnego dzieciństwa. Wszystko zaczęło się podczas wakacji, które spędził z rodziną w Turcji. Poprosił mamę o aparat fotograficzny, bo chciał wszystko uwiecznić na zdjęciach. Z powodu gorących dni, Luka spędzał dużo czasu w domu, dopóki temperatura nie obniżyła się wystarczająco, by móc wyjść na zewnątrz i odpocząć na plaży. W tym okresie zaczął robić wiele zdjęć. Później, zaczął mieć obsesję na punkcie fotografii. Obecnie fotografuje wszystko, co jest dla niego interesujące i fascynujące. Nie ma jeszcze swojego stylu. Jego zdjęcia to głównie portrety, krajobrazy i fotografia dokumentalna.
