Naohiro Maeda

One day I took a photo of the subtle warm lights in the parking garage, and started coming back to the place to capture the quiet presence they had.

This triptych image was made for a fine art photography class. I was carrying my DSLR during the commute for the assignment. One day I took a photo of the subtle warm lights in the parking garage, and started coming back to the place to capture the quiet presence they had.

This image was not selected for the final portfolio and became “hidden”. But it reminds me of the school days, especially the devotions and struggles the classmates and I had to find our own voices and finish our portfolios.

Naohiro Maeda was born and raised in Japan and moved to America in 2016. His major was fine art photography at the New England School of Photography in Boston. He got the Bachelor’s degree in Keio University. Currently living in Salem, MA.

His fine art works were exhibited in galleries in Boston, Somerville, and Minneapolis. His food styling works were featured in Japanese magazines.
